Abstract
|
Labels probably placed on the scythes manufactured Blood. Sylvester Blood set up his scythe factory in 1824 on the Mourning Kill south of Ballston Spa village. At the time, his mill employed 6 men and produced 600 scythes per year. His son, Isaiah, learned the business from his father, Sylvester.
