Abstract
|
An account book and notebook, probably Tartullas L. Keeler (alternative spelling Tartuluf) of Milton, judging from initials "TLK," some customers listed (especially Kilmer family), and a reference to "Mr. Blood," probably Isiah Blood.
These items were handed down to the donor by her family. Her grandfather was Henry Keeler, a West Milton farmer, b. 2/28/1835 in Milton, d. 1/11/1925. He served as Elder and Superintendent of the Sunday School for many years at the West Milton Presbyterian Church. After retiring from farming he served as postmaster of the West Milton Post Office for 23 years. His son, John A. Keeler, the donor's father, took over the farm. The congregation of the West Milton Presbyterian Church disbanded and the building was torn down.
