Victorian Tea
Party for Kids
What: During the Presidents’ Week
vacation, area children (ages 6—12) are invited to join the Victorian
Lady, Sue McLane, to celebrate American presidents and Victorian culture.
Activities include learning about Victorian culture, clothing, and manners.
Kids will plan and prepare a Victorian tea party and games and craft
activities will be included.
Program Schedule: Tuesday,
February 19, 10:00 a.m. — noon or 1:00 —
3:00 p.m. (choose one 2-hour session)

to Shawl

Why we offer
it:
Because
it's an interactive, hands - on program relating to the processing
of wool from the sheep to a shawl.
What we
charge:
$3.25
for students attending member schools
$3.75 for students attending non-member schools
**Chaperones will be charged the same fee as the students.
There will be no charge for teachers and teacher aides.**

Brookside
has offered high-quality programs for area schools for nearly thirty
years. Our three main programs, A Brookside Harvest,
Native
New York, and Sheep to Shawl attract some 6,000 children from
six New York counties every year. Other
programs are available throughout the year, as well as a set of
traveling trunks.
Early
and discount registration is available to all member
schools.

Adults |
Programs for Adults
For nearly
twenty years Brookside Museum has offered traditional craft
classes to adults. Classes are held in the fall, later
winter, and spring.
Class
Schedule
Class
fees vary per class, please check each individual listing for
pricing and supply information. Members
receive discounts on class fees. An additional materials fee,
as indicated in each class description, may be due the instructor
the evening of the class. Please note the materials the
instructor requests you bring with you. You may register by
e-mailing Linda Gorham at lgorham@brooksidemuseum.org
or by calling 885-4000. Please read the registration policy
below.
Registration
Policy: The Class fee is due at time
of registration. Payment can be made by check, Visa, or
MasterCard. Refunds are possible only with two weeks notice, no
exceptions. Registration fees are transferable to another
class only with two weeks notice or if Brookside cancels a class.
The materials cost is paid to the instructor at the time of the
class. Material kits are prepared one-week prior to the class
and will only be prepared for students who have pre-paid the class
fee. Registered students who miss a class will be liable for
the cost of the materials.
