Other Activities:

• Have a work “bee” like people might have done to complete a big job quickly.  This could be something as easy as cleaning up the classroom or something more difficult, like making an art project as a group (perhaps making a mural of harvest foods, a quilt made from paper, or whatever your imagination can come up with).
• Take the children to a retirement home or bring a retired person in to talk about chores or school when they were young, about changes in the town where they live, or about the first time they saw television.
• Plan and serve a harvest meal with the help of parents.
