Go to the Head of the Class:
Education in Saratoga County
This exhibit traces the growth of education in Saratoga County, with special emphasis on Ballston Spa.  Originally open February 7, 2002 - January 2003, the exhibit will reopen February 2003 across the hall on a permanent basis.

Come in and visit the exhibit to see pictures of Ballston Spa High School graduating classes from the 1880s through the 1930s, sports teams featuring girl’s basketball and boy’s football, baseball, and track, and school faculty from the high school and elementary schools.Probably BSHS Basketball Team, 1903  Visit a recreated “one room school” and a hands-on school room where children of all ages can use reproduction slates and slate pencils, copy a line of letters using a quill pen and ink, or do a math lesson from an old textbook. Last but not least , exhibit visitors are able to play the vintage board game “Go to the Head of the Class,” which will most likely take them back to the days of their own “good old school days.”
