“That’s made out of FORKS?!”
You’ll be saying that a lot when you see Brookside’s new exhibit featuring the work of local artist Matthew Bartik. Matthew makes all of his creative pieces using plain old dinner forks.
There is no welding, soldering, glue, or strings attached to these art forms. Each and every piece of fork art is constructed from stainless steel forks and is shaped from the strength of Matthew’s arms and hands and the tool of his trade, pliers.
From intricate bracelets (which make great gifts!) to extravagant larger than life works of art, Matthew’s pieces will make you smile, laugh, and shake your head in wonder.
This exhibit will be on display from the beginning of August through the end of September in the Long Room.
An artist’s reception with complimentary refreshments will be held on August 11th, from 6-8pm.
