Ballston Spa Unions, 1905
The Unions were a short-lived team. On July 8, 1905, they played the Star Bloomers Ladies Baseball team on the fairgrounds in Ballston Spa. The Star Bloomers, with three men on the field, won, 9–8. According to the Ballston Journal, the Star Bloomers made it an interesting game from the start, and Miss Neilson (pitcher and shortstop) was a "withering surprise in the box and at short, covered lots of ground in elegant style..."
