Base Ball Game, ca. 1880
This rare photograph made from a glass negative shows two unidentified teams at play. It is possible that it is the Ballston team (Monitors, if 1883 or later) vs. the Saratoga team (Stars?), who wore white wool uniforms. Although several styles of caps were available at this time, the preference appears to be for the flat-top cap.
