INFORMATION FOR TEACHERS

Sheep to Shawl runs for 1.5 hours. See your confirmation for your scheduled start time and information regarding the daily schedule.

It is important that we begin the program on time in order to keep to our daily time schedule. If your group arrives after the program starts, you will be guided to the appropriate location, but you may not “make-up” any missed activities or stations.  If you know ahead of time that you will be arriving late, please let me know. We strongly recommend that all groups be prepared for the program prior to their visit to Brookside.  See below for a list of downloadable pre-visit materials.

Please have each child wear a name tag with their name printed in large letters.

The program runs rain or shine.  Many of the activities will be held outside on the grounds of Brookside with demonstrations under tents.  The children should wear comfortable outdoor clothing and shoes.  Please be sure that the children are prepared for cool temperatures and rain, whenever necessary.

Buses should drop students and teachers off in the Brookside parking lot, then park around the corner on Charlton St.  Children arriving in private cars should also be dropped off in the parking lot, and cars should park as directed by our parking attendant.  THE PARKING LOT CAN GET VERY CONGESTED DURING DROP OFF AND PICK UP. FOR NON-BUSSING GROUPS, PLEASE CAR-POOL WHENEVER POSSIBLE TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF CARS.  ALL CHILDREN SHOULD BE WATCHED CAREFULLY IN THE PARKING LOT DUE TO THE HEAVY TRAFFIC.
