A Brookside Harvest is a living history celebration of 19th century American traditions in rural Saratoga County. The program includes demonstrations and hands-on activities in gathering the harvest, preserving and cooking the harvest, keeping warm, and having fun.
2010 Program Dates:
Kindergarten through 2nd Grade: September 21-23.
Preschool: October 18-22; 25-29 and November 1-5.
Fees: $3.50 per student (member schools) or $4.00 per student (non-member schools).

The program is designed to meet the needs of teachers and students in the study of social studies in kindergarten and grade 2 (NYS Learning Standards 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4). A similar program is available for pre-K students.
This program runs for one week in early October for K-2 and group sessions last for an hour and a quarter. Fees for the program are $3.50 per student for education member schools and $4.00 per student for non-member schools.
Programs for pre-K students last for an hour and the teacher may select either preserving apples or preserving corn for their program topic. Fees for pre-K programs are $3.50 per student for education member schools and $4.00 per student for non-member schools.
