Professional reproduction of historic images from Brookside's collection must be approved by Brookside staff. The photographer handling the historic photograph reproduction must also be approved by Brookside staff. We recommend using Michael L. Noonan, professional photographer -- the following prices reflect the costs for Michael L. Noonan. Please read the following policies.

If a copy negative is not available (as often happens when reproducing historical photographs), patron will be charged an additional $18.00. The copy negative remains the property of Brookside Museum.
All prices are subject to photographer approval and depend upon the condition, quality, and type of original photograph.

*Please note, the lifespan of a computer printed photograph is 5 years.  If you wish to keep a photograph for longer than 5 years we highly recommend a professional reproduction and not an e-mail transmission.

The usual time to process a photographic order is four to six weeks. Special request items, such as matte finish and rush service, will require an additional fee.  Please add 10% shipping charges if you cannot pick up the print at the museum.  NYS residents must add 7.25% sales tax or provide a tax-exempt form.

Images may be used for study purposes, student papers, or personal use, without an additional reproduction fee.  To reproduce an image for a publication or on the web the purchaser must agree to the following reproduction policy and pay the appropriate fees.

Permission is for one time use only per image.  Any subsequent use must be requested and granted in writing.  Brookside Museum will receive a complimentary copy of the publication or videotape in which its images appear.  If lost or damaged, rented transparencies will be replaced at the expense of the borrower. 

The applicant will assume any and all responsibility for questions of copyright which may arise from use of these images. In cases where the copyright is held by a third party, written permission must be secured by the applicant from that party or their agent and must accompany the application. 

By completing and signing the application to publish, the applicant agrees to the terms herein and agrees to pre-pay all applicable fees from Brookside Museum’s current schedule.  This form will be available on the web soon, but can be requested from the museum at any time.

Same page credit line “Collection of Brookside Museum, Saratoga County Historical Society” must accompany each image in printed material. For film and the Internet, Brookside Museum, Saratoga County Historical Society must be acknowledged. For exhibition and display, the label must carry the above credit line.  Additional photographer’s credit may be required.

The prices listed are for calendar year 2004.  Museum staff reserves the right to increase rates without Board consent if equal to or less than 3% per year.
