Enter the Database

As the home of the Saratoga County Historical Society, we collect photographs, objects, manuscripts, and books that tell the story of Saratoga County. Any item accessioned into our collection must be made or used in Saratoga County.

Our database is now available for browsing and searching. Images of items in our collection are still being digitized and added to the database, so check back later if no image is available today.  Images of photographs are added weekly.  Images of objects will not be available for several months. 

The database is separated into four search categories: photographs (including postcards), objects (anything three-dimensional), manuscripts (diaries, ledgers, etc.), and library (printed publications). 

Examples of search terms . . . 

Mann . . . looking for a family surname 

Bottle . . . looking for a particular type of object 

Wooley . . . looking for items by a specific maker, manufacturer, or photographer

Milton . . . looking for an item from a specific town, city, or village 

1997.001.0001 . . . looking for an item by object ID number 

Copies of images may be ordered. Please read our photo order form for more information and reproduction policies.  When contacting staff, please provide us with the full object id (This will be in the format yyyy.xxx.xxxx and is NOT a four-digit number).  Allow 2-3 weeks for a response as staff time is extraordinarily limited.
