Brookside Digs: An Archeology Experience.
Best suited for ages 10 – 16, participants will be able to work beside archeologists from Hartgen Archeological Associates and experience a full excavation- from the research to the digging and cleaning to the artifact analysis.  This program brings together science, mathematics, social studies and presentation skills into one unforgettable experience.   Findings from the excavation will help clarify Brookside’s past and the artifacts will be added to the museum’s collection.  This is a special opportunity to learn about archeology and local history in a very interesting and interactive way.

The program takes place from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily beginning on Monday, August 1 and ending on Friday, August 5.  Space is limited and this program books quickly, so reserve your spot now!

The registration fee is $250 per person for the five day program.  If an 8-10 year old wishes to participate with an adult relative, the cost is $300 for the adult/child team.  Please contact us for more details about this opportunity.  education@brooksidemuseum.org
