An Artist’s Way:

Oils and Mixed Media by Pat McEvoy

Nov. 6-Dec. 23, 2015

Join us! Friday, November 6, from 5 – 8pm at the opening reception for An Artist’s Way, a new exhibit of works by Saratoga Springs artist Pat McEvoy.

McEvoy’s beautifully colorful works focus both on the majesty of landscapes and the simplicity of happenstance still-lifes. Oil paints are her primary medium and inspiration; says McEvoy, “There is a freedom and excitement in allowing the paint to do what it wants, as in the accidental merging and drippings that may occur and in areas where colors may be mixed and layered right on the surface.”

Of her exhibit at Brookside, McEvoy said, “As a local painter, I am very pleased to have the opportunity to show a large selection of my work at the beautiful and historic Brookside Museum.”

McEvoy graduated from Skidmore College in 1972 and earned her MA from the University at Albany in 1976.  She taught art at Hudson Falls High School until her retirement in 2001.

The November 6th reception is being held in conjunction with the First Friday events in Ballston Spa.
